Welcome to a new month. As long as April is filled with Tweet-worthy parties and fashionable fêtes, our favorite Hermès slicker can withstand a few raindrops.
Here’s a list of our favorite Facebook check-in hotspots happening this week.
Wednesday, April 2
What: The Kravis Center presents Lily Tomlin
Where: Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. Concert Hall, West Palm Beach
When: 8:00 p.m.
$$$: Tickets start at $25 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets, click HERE.
411: What does a 6-year-old named “Edith Ann”, a condescending telephone operator, and a revenge-seeking secretary all have in common? They’re three of Lily Tomlin’s most iconic characters but whether they’ll make an appearance in her hilarious, one-woman show tonight is anyone’s guess. Here’s a few words of advice: buckle your seat belt. It’s going to be a funny romp of a ride.
Thursday, April 3
What: Palm Beach International Film Festival‘s Opening Night Film & Party
Where: Cinemark Palace 20, Boca Raton, FL
When: Red Carpet commences at 6:00 p.m.; movie begins at 7:00 p.m.
$$$: $40 per person (normally $75). Click HERE to purchase tickets.
411: If you missed Gugu Mbatha-Raw‘s performance as Viola Peabody in Odd Thomas, don’t worry – you’re going to live. If you miss her stunning portrayal of Dido Elizabeth Belle in Belle, all bets are off. Based on a true story, Gugu stars as Dido, an illegitimate daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral and an African slave who plays a big-time role in the abolishment of slavery in England. NOTE: Get to the theatre before the show starts (6:00 p.m. or so) so you can see some of Hollywood’s best actors and filmmakers walk the red carpet. After the movie, hit Bogart’s upstairs where you’ll enjoy complimentary cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres.
Friday, April 4
What: Hoppy Hour: An “Eggs-travanza” Celebration
Where: The Grand Court at The Gardens Mall, Palm Beach Gardens, FL
When: 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
$$$: $10 per family (monies benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County); Easter Bunny Fast Pass photo packages available HERE.
411: You’re nervous. You didn’t sit on Santa’s lap this year (which may explain why you got mittens for Christmas) nor did you see a single leprechaun on St. Patty’s Day. Lucky for you, the Easter Bunny (pictured above with President George W. Bush) is bouncing his way into town this week and if that wasn’t wonderful enough, he’s hosting a holiday party for all his friends (we’re talking butterfly stilt walkers, jugglers, magicians, a DJ, and more). His publicist even told us he’ll be taking pics in his Enchanted Garden afterward (and through April 19) so you can show everyone just how “egg-stra” cool you (think you) are. For more event information, click HERE.
Sunday, April 6
What: 110th Maserati U.S. Open Polo Championship®
Where: International Polo Club Palm Beach, Wellington, FL
When: 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.; polo match starts at 3:00 p.m. (plus two additional matches: April 13 & 20)
$$$: General Admission tickets start at $10 per person. $65 per person (Pavilion Reception), $120 per person (Champagne Brunch), or $330 for two (Veuve Clicquot Airstream Lounge Brunch). Click HERE for tickets.
411: The closest you’ve ever come to driving a Maserati was a Bora 3 Matchbox car you got on your ninth birthday – you raced that thing around your bedroom until the wheels fell off. Now, your favorite Italian dream car manufacturer is back in your life and hosting one of Palm Beach’s most lavish sport spectacles, the Maserati U.S. Open Polo Championship®. You also heard they’re going to have plenty of trident-logoed cars in tow. Who knows, maybe you’ll bring home a big brother for your Bora 3. Fat chance.
Thank you for posting information about our Vodka Riot event this weekend? How do I send you information for consideration on the bigger events we do?
